1. Who we are

NM Lounge Beauty is a hair salon operated by Nayara Magalhães at 2700 N Miami Ave, Suite 606, Miami, FL 33127, United States. NM Lounge Beauty is a trade name (DBA) of Hair Salon Magalhaes LLC. In this policy, we, us and our mean NM Lounge Beauty; you means anyone who visits this website, messages us, or books a service with us.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. If anything here is unclear, write to us at nayarasalon@gmail.com and we will answer.

2. Information you give us

We only ask for what we need to look after your hair and manage your appointment:

• Your name, phone number and email address.
• The content of the messages you send us — including WhatsApp conversations and any reference photos you share.
• Your appointment history: services performed, dates, and the stylist who worked with you.
• Your hair history: previous colour, chemical treatments, allergies or scalp sensitivities you tell us about, and the formula we used, so a shade can be repeated accurately on your next visit.
• Confirmation that a payment was made. We do not see or store your full card number — payments are handled by our payment provider.

3. Information collected automatically

When you browse this website, our hosting platform records standard technical information: your approximate location, IP address, browser and device type, the pages you open, how long you stay, and the site or search that sent you here. This is used in aggregate to understand which pages are useful, not to identify you personally.

4. Why we use your information

We use the information above to:

• Reply to your messages and arrange, confirm or reschedule an appointment.
• Keep an accurate record of your colour formula and service history.
• Send you appointment reminders and, only if you have asked for them, occasional updates about the salon.
• Understand how the website is used so we can improve it.
• Meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.

We do not make automated decisions about you, and we do not build advertising profiles.

5. WhatsApp and other third-party services

Booking with us happens over WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta Platforms. Anything you send us there is also handled under WhatsApp's own privacy terms, which we do not control. If you would rather not use WhatsApp, you can email us instead.

This website is built and hosted on Wix, which processes site analytics and any information submitted through the site on our behalf. Map links open Google Maps, and our social links open Instagram and Facebook. Each of those companies applies its own privacy policy once you leave this site.

6. SMS / Text messages

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive appointment texts — for example by ticking the optional box when booking, or by replying START — we will send you appointment confirmations, reminders and updates by SMS. Consent is not a condition of booking or purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and you can reply HELP for help. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

7. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use two kinds: essential cookies, which are needed for the site to load and remember your language and cookie choice; and analytics cookies, which count visits and page views.

When you first arrive you can accept all cookies or choose essential only. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time — the site will still work, though some preferences will not be remembered.

8. Who we share it with

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers who help us run the salon — our website host, our booking and payment providers, and our accountant — and only to the extent they need it.
• Public authorities, where we are legally required to disclose it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

9. How long we keep it

We keep your contact details and service history for as long as you are a client of the salon, so that your formulas and preferences are available on your next visit. Financial records are kept for the period required by United States and Florida tax law. After that, information is deleted or anonymised.

You can ask us to delete your record sooner — see your rights below.

10. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
• Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it.
• Give you a copy of your information.
• Stop sending you reminders or promotional messages.

To exercise any of these, write to nayarasalon@gmail.com or message us on WhatsApp. We will confirm your identity and respond within 45 days. Exercising these rights costs nothing and will never affect the service you receive.

Residents of Florida and of other states with consumer privacy laws have these rights under those laws. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

11. Photographs and social media

We are proud of our work and often ask to photograph it. We only publish a photograph of you or of your hair with your permission, given at the time.

You can withdraw that permission whenever you like — message us and we will remove the image from our own Instagram, Facebook and this website. Please note that we cannot recover copies that other people have already saved or reposted.

12. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, and we limit access to the people who need it to do their job. No website or messaging service is completely secure, so please do not send us sensitive documents, identification numbers or card details through WhatsApp or email.

13. Children

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. A client under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who gives consent for any chemical service. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

14. Links to other websites

Our site links to Instagram, Facebook, Google Maps and WhatsApp. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else's site, under their privacy policy and their terms. We are not responsible for their content or their practices.

15. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will publish the new policy on this page and update the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged clearly. Continuing to use the site or to book with us after a change means you accept the updated policy.
